Getting Around
Practical Information
By Car
A car is the most flexible way to explore the Cotswolds. Number Four has free on-site parking. The B4068 and B4077 are particularly scenic routes. Note: many Cotswold lanes are narrow — take it slow.
Tip: Use Number Four at Stow Hotel rather than the postcode GL54 1JX in your satnav — the postcode is shared with neighbouring properties.
Local Taxis
For evenings out or if you’d prefer not to drive, we are happy to call a local taxi. Please ask at reception and we will arrange one for you.
Buses
Stow-on-the-Wold is served by the Pulhams Coaches service to Cheltenham, Moreton-in-Marsh, and Bourton-on-the-Water. Timetables available at reception.
By Train
Moreton-in-Marsh station (5.3 miles) has direct services to London Paddington in around 90 minutes. Kingham station (7 miles) is a quieter alternative. A taxi from Stow is recommended from either.
On Foot & By Bike
The Cotswold Way passes through Chipping Campden. Ask reception for our recommended local walking route cards.
